AMS is a technology company and partner in automation with a focus on robot and plc programming, but also with a self-developed and patented technology within the Robomould division.

AMS is primarily known as a designer of automated production lines for car manufacturers such as Audi, BMW and Porsche, but also for companies in the food, aviation and logistics industries. In total we programme or rebuild 200 to 300 robots a year.

The Robomould division specialises in the development of robots for the production of plastic components based on rotation technology. Our AMS Robomould Manufacturing Technology is based on the digitalised and automated 4.0 rotational moulding technology, with the circular use of materials and reduced energy consumption as important features. The mould is filled with plastic granules which are evenly distributed in the mould by rotation and then heated. The manufactured tank weighs just 16 kilograms and is surrounded by a three-centimetre carbon fibre sleeve for strength and safety. You can use the rotation technology not only for fuel or hydrogen tanks, but also for all kinds of lightweight structures and for battery packs for electric vehicles. Weight is becoming increasingly important in reducing CO2 emissions. In the case of electric vehicles, there is also the element of fire safety. If you want to extinguish a fire in an electric car, you have to immerse it fully. We have developed a plastic fireproof casing which tackles this problem.
