Blue Gate Antwerp
Blue Gate Antwerp, located alongside the Scheldt and within cycling distance of Antwerp, is the first eco-effective, water-bound business park in Belgium.

Blue Gate Antwerp, located alongside the Scheldt and within cycling distance of Antwerp, is the first eco-effective, water-bound business park in Belgium. Today, these remediated sites (once the heart of the Antwerp oil industry) are ready for a new chapter. The climate-neutral business park is reserved for innovative companies with a clear ambition: linear growth thanks to circular structures. Together with like-minded entrepreneurs, they set up circular flows at micro and macro level. This results in cost-efficient collaborations inside and outside the site. The companies that establish themselves here commit themselves to an eco-effective industry in which they produce the same high-quality end product while reducing their consumption of raw materials. On the business park the buildings are developed by Blue Gate Antwerp Building nv.
The total project area of Blue Gate Antwerp offers companies 63 hectares to build and operate in a climate-friendly way. Sustainability is central to the development of the business park itself, as well as to the interaction with the environment and other companies. Fortresses are stimulated to support sustainable circular thinking as much as possible.
Blue Gate Antwerp advises companies on the ideal location: what prevails? The proximity of the water, the interaction with other R&D and production companies, or the visibility from the approach roads? In addition, Blue Gate Antwerp is strongly committed to the creation of a sustainable and circular community that together will further increase sustainability and innovation.
Attracting companies with sustainable ambitions
Blue Gate Antwerp is ready for the next chapter: attracting businesses.
In 2019, DHL Express established its CityHub for the Antwerp region at BLUE GATE ANTWERP. This is the largest DHL Express facility in the Benelux.
DHL Express' clear ambitions for full CO2 neutrality by 2050 and sustainable last mile deliveries in the urban environment are in line with Blue Gate Antwerp's vision for the future.

"Cleantech Flanders helped us to get in touch with the right cleantech providers through the Northern Connections and Scale-up projects. At a living lab and a meet-the-buyer event we got the chance to meet new partners. In this way, our ambitions to realise the SDGs were further realised."
